Job summary

Weber State University Department of Automotive Technology is seeking part-time Computer Science Tutors for the Davis Learning Center in Ogden, Utah. Tutors work up to 20 hours per week, on a drop-in basis, at the Davis campus and will receive training in tutoring techniques.

Applicants must be a WSU student, tutor at the Davis campus, and have earned a B or better in the courses they tutor. Strong subject knowledge and solid communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Must have earned a B or better in the courses you propose to tutor.
• A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring.
• Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Tutor WSU students in Computer Science at the Davis Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department.
• Tutoring is done on a drop-in basis; availability for drop-in shifts is determined by the tutor.
• We provide training in tutoring techniques.

TutorWSUstudents in Computer Science at the Davis Learning Center as part of the Learning Support department. Tutoring is done on a drop‑in basis. Availability for drop‑in shifts is determined by the tutor. We require and provide training in tutoring techniques.

• This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
