Job summary

University of North Dakota is seeking a part-time, non-benefited tutor for high school and middle school students at Valley Middle School and Grand Forks Central High School. The position is off campus with UND students eligible to hire, requiring training, study-skills instruction, and ongoing professional development.

Tutors will use AVID strategies to promote critical thinking, organization, and collaborative learning while preparing materials and guiding discussions for effective academic

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the employed academic semester.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Must have accepted a Federal Work Study award from the Office of student Finance.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check.
• Candidate is responsible for transportation to off campus location.

• $15.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 6-10 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

Purpose of Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. Position is off campus. You will be going to Valley Middle School and Grand Forks Central High School for tutoring.
