Job summary

TPAPT is seeking experienced AP Instructors to deliver online AP Physics tutoring to high school students in grades 9-12. You will assess learning needs, design customized lesson plans, and provide test-focused support to improve performance.

Ideal candidates are licensed teachers with AP experience, strong communication, and a passion for helping students succeed. Sessions occur after school hours CST with reliable, regular assignments.

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher with current or past AP Physics instruction.
• Experience tutoring AP courses in high school is preferred.
• Excellent communication and organization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide AP Physics test-prep tutoring to grades 9-12.
• Conduct 60–90 minute tutoring sessions.

TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 15,000 locally owned and operated tutoring & college advising programs, is seeking experienced AP Instructors to work with US students in grades 9-12. Tutors will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher who is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and has instructed or tutored this AP course for their high school in the past.

Classification: Contract

Compensation: $30-$35/hr

Location: Online

The Position:

• Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12
• Tutoring assignments are 60-90 minutes
• Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable
• Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 3PM and 9PM CST during the week and between 10am - 4pm CST for part of a weekend day.

• 3-12 hours per week of availability
• Earned Bachelor's Degree
• Materials for the subject mentioned in the post
• Exceptionally strong communication skills
• A passion for helping others learn
• Familiarity with online lesson delivery
• State teaching certification (current/former) and experience teaching the AP subject mentioned in this post preferred
