Job summary

Maymont Homes, part of Brookfield, is hiring a Make Ready Technician to prepare vacant units for new residents in Columbus. You will perform move-out inspections, identify repairs, and manage punch tasks to ensure homes meet Clean, Safe, and Functional standards.

The role requires independent work, strong time management, and ability to complete tasks within required timelines. Prior maintenance experience helps ensure leasing readiness.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years handyman, maintenance, or construction experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of residential repair tasks and tools; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial move-out inspections on assigned homes.
• Identify and document repair needs to create the scope of work.
• Assist with punch walks and final readiness tasks.
• Support timely turn readiness to leasing standards.
• Install/replace door stops, blinds, basic hardware, detectors, locks.
• Paint wall touch-ups and prep walls for readiness.
• Record inspection findings and repairs in systems; upload photos.
• Maintain timely status updates and communicate needs.
