Job summary

Maymont Homes is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare vacant homes for new residents in Charleston. You will perform move-out inspections, execute basic repairs, install hardware and detectors, and help ensure homes meet readiness standards on schedule.

The role requires 1–3 years in handyman or maintenance work, strong time management, and good communication. On-site work with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years handyman or maintenance experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of residential repair tasks and tools.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Basic-intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with problem-solving ability for residential repairs.
• Ability to use computers, mobile devices, and software as needed.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial move-out inspections and identify repair needs.
• Assist with punch walks and final readiness tasks.
• Install door stops, blinds, and basic hardware; test detectors.
• Perform light interior painting and drywall patching.
• Record inspection findings and completed repairs in company systems; upload photos.
• Maintain accurate status updates and coordinate with vendors as needed.
