Job summary

The Residency Reclassification Specialist reports to the Manager of Residency Reclassification Services in the Office of the University Registrar at the University of Maryland. The role manages requests for review of residency determinations for tuition purposes and reviews petitions to render BOR-compliant decisions.

The incumbent provides excellent constituent service via phone, email, and in-person interactions with students and campus partners, updates online services, assists with imaging,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Three years of experience in related field.
• Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for up to four years of the required education.

Responsibilities

• Manage requests for residency reclassification reviews and petitions.
• Render BOR-compliant decisions on residency for tuition purposes.
• Provide excellent constituent service via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
• Review and update online residency services and related content.
• Prepare residency reclassification documents for imaging and special projects.
