J&T Business Consulting is seeking a Tier 1 System Administrator in Annapolis, MD. The role supports frontline IT services, incident handling, and user administration within a secure enterprise environment.

Responsibilities include ticketing, asset management, and documenting troubleshooting steps. Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience or a 4-year IT degree, and possess TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph if required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on technical/customer support experience, or a Bachelor's degree with related experience.
• CompTIA A+ CE and/or CompTIA Network+ CE.
• Experience using the ServiceNow ticketing platform.
• Able to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user inquiries via multiple channels.
• Log, track, and route tickets in ServiceNow with detailed documentation.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, and basic network issues.
• Manage user accounts: password resets, unlocks, access provisioning.
• Install/configure/update software and peripherals; assist with assets inventory.
• Create knowledge base articles and SOPs for recurring issues.
• Identify cybersecurity incidents and report to security leads.
• Mentor junior technicians and provide onboarding support.
