Job summary

J T in Annapolis Junction, MD seeks a Tier 2 Level 1 Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and optimize enterprise servers and applications in a secure environment.

Responsibilities include patch management, security controls, incident response, audits, and collaboration with cross-functional IT teams. A TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required, with 10+ years' experience or a 5+ year degree path.

Qualifications

• Clearance: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Education: HS/GED with 10+ years IT/sysadmin experience OR Bachelor's with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Certifications: Must hold at least one IAT Level 1 compliant certification (CompTIA A+ CE, CompTIA Network+ CE).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain enterprise servers, OSes, and core applications.
• Apply patches and configuration changes per change management policies.
• Perform system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
• Provide advanced support for escalated issues from help desk.
• Install, configure, and deploy new systems and tools.
• Ensure security controls, audits, and vulnerability remediation.
• Collaborate with network, security, and applications teams on cross‑functional initiatives.
