Job summary

AEITS, Inc. is seeking a Systems Administrator, Tier 1 for on-site support in Annapolis Junction, MD. The role requires active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph, and a Friday-MMonday shift pattern with initial training.

You will respond to inquiries, manage tickets, and guide users through basic technical issues, escalating when needed. Responsibilities include software/hardware troubleshooting, documentation, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of IT experience.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of IT experience.
• Only IT-related work experience will count towards the years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, chat, or ticketing systems.
• Log and track support requests using a help desk ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Provide step-by-step guidance to users for troubleshooting common problems.
• Escalate complex issues to second-level support or specialized teams, when necessary, via the ticketing system.
• Provide guidance to less experienced professionals mentoring new hires and trainees when necessary.
