Job summary

Government Technical Services Corporation (GTSC) seeks a Systems Administrator, Tier 1, for an on-site role in Annapolis Junction, MD. The position focuses on first-line IT support, ticketing, and basic troubleshooting of hardware, software, and connectivity.

Candidates must hold an active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph, CompTIA A+ CE and Network+ CE certifications, and meet education/experience requirements (HS +10 years or BA +5 years).

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 10 years of IT experience, or a Bachelor's with 5 years of experience.
• Active Top Secret SCI clearance with polygraph.
• CompTIA A+ CE and CompTIA Network+ CE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, chat, or ticketing systems.
• Log and track support requests using help desk ticketing system.
• Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Provide step-by-step guidance to users for troubleshooting common problems.
• Escalate complex issues to second-level support or specialized teams via ticketing system.
• Install, configure, and update software on user devices.
• Assist with password resets, account lockouts, and access issues.
• Document and maintain knowledge base articles and solutions.
• Maintain and report accurate records/tickets of interactions and resolutions.
