Job summary

STR is seeking a Systems Administrator in Woburn, MA to support senior admins in deploying and maintaining Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows systems across traditional and virtual environments. Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required, and U.S. citizenship is necessary.

The role involves after-hours maintenance, security compliance with DoD guidelines, and collaboration with ISSO, researchers, and management to keep the infrastructure secure and available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD/equivalent.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Experience administering Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows in DoD/secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level support in deploying, configuring, and maintaining Linux and Windows systems.
• Manage NAS storage, networking, firewall, and Active Directory with Group Policy.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell and other scripting tools; develop SOPs.
• Monitor performance, analyze results, and implement improvements.
• Ensure compliance with DoD STIGs and security guidelines; support production and development.
