Job summary

STR in Arlington, VA seeks a Systems Administrator to support Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows environments in traditional and virtualized setups. Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and US citizenship are required for this mission-driven role.

You will work with ISSOs, researchers, and senior admins to configure NAS, networks, AD, and Group Policy, while driving performance improvements and automation with PowerShell in both production and dev environments.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph.
• Experience administering Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu) and Windows environments.
• US citizenship required for clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support senior administrators, ISSOs, and researchers; assist in deploying and maintaining systems.
• Configure and manage NAS storage, networking, firewall, and Active Directory with Group Policy.
• Monitor performance, analyze results, and automate tasks using PowerShell and other tools.
• Provide daily maintenance, issue resolution, and project support.
• Create and maintain SOPs for installation and configuration.
• Maintain knowledge of DoD security guidelines and organizational policies.
• Support production and development environments; after-hours maintenance and patching as needed.
