Job summary

STR is seeking a Systems Administrator with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance to support our senior admins in deploying and maintaining Linux and Windows systems across diverse environments in Arlington, VA. The role involves day-to-day operations, security compliance, and collaboration with ISSOs and researchers.

Qualified candidates will have Red Hat/Ubuntu administration experience, Active Directory and Group Policy skills, and the ability to perform automation tasks.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.
• Experience administering Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu).
• Experience administering Windows OS levels.
• Strong problem-solving and automation scripting skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional support to senior administrators, ISSOs, and researchers.
• Configure and maintain NAS storage, networking, firewall, and directory services.
• Perform performance monitoring, analysis, and automation using PowerShell and other tools.
• Provide daily support, maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Create and maintain SOPs for installation and configuration.
• Maintain knowledge of DoD security guidelines and organizational policies.
• Support production and development environments.
• Provide after-hours maintenance and patching as needed.
