Job summary

WOOD Federal Solutions, Inc. seeks a System Administrator specializing in Linux/Windows & Security to support a large distributed network environment. The role covers server/workstation administration, patching, hardening, vulnerability management, and high-assurance operations.

The position requires experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, and travel (local, CONUS/OCONUS). TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required; telework is not offered.

Qualifications

• Must have substantial experience as a systems administrator supporting large end-user groups and technical staff.
• At least 5 years of hands-on Linux and Microsoft server/workstation experience.
• 5+ years’ hardening experience (DISA, best practices, high-assurance).
• 5+ years’ deployment, patching, OS and backup/restore experience.

Responsibilities

• Install applications, administer systems, and resolve issues promptly.
• Optimize server/desktop configurations for reliable, secure operations.
• Perform security management and performance optimization tasks.
• Manage complex server enclaves, patching, cert renewals, vulnerability management, and AD configurations.
• Document complex server/network environments for incident resolution.
• Communicate outages/upgrades with users and management.
