Job summary

North Point Technology is seeking a Systems Administrator / Help Desk Engineer to support a cutting‑edge Agile software development program for an Intelligence Community customer. The qualified candidate must have an active TS/SCI security clearance and will ensure the stability, security, and performance of the cloud and on‑premises environments that enable mission users and Agile teams.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CI polygraph.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II/III cert (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems operations to ensure availability, reliability, and security of infrastructure.
• Administer Linux and Windows systems; diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and end-user issues via tickets.
• Architect and manage server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure (VMware, KVM).
• Perform OS installation, hardening, patching per DoD STIGs.
• Monitor and tune system performance with root-cause analysis.
• Maintain automation scripts and IaC (Ansible, PowerShell, Bash).
• Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
• Document baselines and configurations; collaborate with cybersecurity, network, and software teams.
• Lead deployment of system enhancements and modernization initiatives.
