Job summary

North Point Technology is hiring a Systems Administrator / Help Desk Engineer to support a classified geospatial analytics and software development program for an Intelligence Community customer.

The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain a CI poly, with shifts starting at 6 AM or ending at 10 PM EST. You will work across Linux, Windows, virtualization, and automation in a DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain CI Polygraph.
• Experience administering Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server.
• Experience with VMware/KVM virtualization and storage concepts.
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs, RMF, ACAS, and system hardening.
• Experience with automation and scripting (Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python).

Responsibilities

• Administer Linux and Windows systems, diagnose issues, and manage support tickets.
• Architect and manage server, storage, and virtualization infrastructure (VMware, KVM).
• Install, configure, harden, and patch systems in line with DoD STIGs.
• Develop automation scripts and IaC using Ansible, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and incident response activities.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, network engineering, and software teams.
