Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Senior Systems Engineer in Bethesda, MD to lead an application team responsible for software enhancements and deployments for the DOMEX Technology Platform. You will decompose high-priority requirements, manage risk, and drive continuous improvement while collaborating with government leads and other teams on backend design and system integration.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 12–15 years of experience or MS with 10–13 years
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
• Software development experience in Java or Python
• Experience as a Systems Engineer, Product Owner, or similar role in Agile teams
• Experience with requirements/design docs and process flow diagrams
• Strong ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
• Experience with backlog management and prioritization
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and tools GitLab, Jira, Confluence
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies (Planning, Retrospective, Grooming, Demo)
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, design, and PM teams
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical projects
• Security best practices for services (authN/Z, secrets, data protection)

Responsabilités

• Lead development teams and provide technical direction for all development efforts
• Plan, design, and oversee software development solutions and system integration
• Coordinate with Test Team for automated system integration tests
• Maintain backlog and ensure highest-value tasks are worked on
• Lead design and architecture of backend systems and services
• Drive scalability, reliability, and performance initiatives
• Develop design documents and RFCs for reviews
• Coordinate with government and contractor stakeholders
