Job summary

Leidos is seeking a TS/SCI cleared Senior Systems Engineer to lead a software development team supporting the DIA-NMEC DOMEX Technology Platform. Qualifications

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field, or Masters with 10–13 years of relevant experience.
• Active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Software development experience in Java or Python.
• Experience as a Systems Engineer, Product Owner or similar in an Agile team.
• Experience with requirements and design documentation and process flows.
• Strong ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps.
• Experience managing and prioritizing product backlogs effectively.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies; familiarity with GitLab, Jira & Confluence.
• Experience facilitating Scrum events (Planning, Retrospective, Grooming & Demo).
• Excellent verbal and written communication; cross-functional collaboration with engineering, design and PM teams.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and provide technical direction for all aspects of the team's development efforts.
• Plan, design, and oversee implementation of software development solutions; supervise requirements analysis, design, integration and test.
• Ensure sound engineering practices are followed and policies are applied to engineering activities.
• Develop and maintain the backlog for an Agile scrum team; prioritize stories and epics based on stakeholders feedback.
• Lead the design and architecture of backend systems and services; drive scalability, reliability and performance initiatives.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify high-value integrations; mentor mid-level and junior engineers.
