Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Senior Architect Development Team Lead to support solution architecture and development needs for a government customer. The role is located in the Washington DC metropolitan area and will be hybrid with intermittent onsite work.

The candidate will lead the architecture team, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with federal regulations while aligning with program needs across DCSA BIS and background processing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 15+ years in large-scale application design and development.
• Expert in Natural using ADABAS and NaturalONE Eclipse environment.
• Experience leading architecture teams and managing customer engagements.
• Proven ability to design cross-system solutions and coordinate with infra, security, and cloud teams.
• Strong communication skills and experience with federal compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technical architects and developers.
• Assess existing background investigation systems for federal agencies.
• Capture user requirements through stakeholder interactions.
• Design scalable solution architectures aligned with regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with Dev teams to implement solutions and track progress with JIRA.
• Provide guidance on federal contracts and grants management.
