Job summary

D2 Consulting is seeking an IT Engineer to support a Federal Intelligence Agency contract in a hybrid Windows & Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment. You’ll provide Tier II support, admin Windows and Linux desktops/servers, and drive incident resolution and reliability across multiple security enclaves.

The role requires 8+ years of systems administration, a active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance, and DoD CE training within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical experience in CS/engineering.
• 8+ years of systems administration for Windows and Linux environments.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
• DoD IA certifications such as Security+ CE, SSCP, or CCNA-Security preferred.
• DoD 8570 CE training to be obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Tier II support across Windows and Linux enterprise environments.
• Administer Windows and Linux workstations and servers for stability and security.
• Troubleshoot cross-platform issues, incidents, and outages.
• Provide direct Linux desktop support and user environment optimization.
• Lead incident management, triage, and communications for system events.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to implement improvements.
• Utilize ITIL processes and ticketing systems to track and resolve requests.
