Job summary

Probity Inc. seeks a GNOC Tier II Network Technician to support the client’s LAN/WAN and data communications systems in a 24x7 operations environment. The role requires in-depth event management and rapid incident response within a government network operations center.

Ideal candidates have extensive Layer 1–3 networking experience, knowledge of VLANs and MPLS, and familiarity with Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade and Foundry OS. A DoD IAT Level 2 compliant background is required.

Qualifications

• Requires 10 years of combined work history and education.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 compliance required.
• Knowledge of Cisco IOS, Juniper JUNOS, Brocade and Foundry OS.
• Layer 1-3 networking experience.
• Familiarity with OSPF, BGP, VRRP, HSRP, MPLS, GRE.

Responsibilities

• From GNOC location, remotely support installation and maintenance of LAN/WAN devices; respond to and resolve incident tickets.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs; diagnose network faults across OSI layers 1–3.
• Modify and troubleshoot layer 3 routing across the enterprise network.
