Vantor is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer located in Herndon, VA, to support the development, integration, and cybersecurity compliance of various intelligence capabilities into a Development and subsequently Production environment.

This role is ideal for someone who sees DevOps not just as automation, but as a software engineering discipline focused on building scalable, reliable systems and developer platforms.

Qualifications

• Current/active TS/SCI clearance and ability to pass polygraph.
• Willing to work in a SCIF environment in Herndon, VA.
• 5+ years DevOps experience; degree as stated.
• Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or similar.
• Experience with PKI, CI/CD, IaC, and security in DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage highly available applications for reliability and scalability.
• Automate cybersecurity workflows with Python/Go/Java or similar.
• Build CLI tools, APIs, and dashboards to streamline developer experience.
• Implement Nomad/Kubernetes clusters for workload orchestration.
• Develop IaC with Terraform and Ansible; build CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
• Monitor, log, and troubleshoot systems; automate security testing in pipelines.
• Integrate static analysis tools (GitLab SAST, Fortify, SonarQube) into pipelines.
