Job summary

Vantor is seeking a cleared Systems Engineer to join a team building a High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment for full lifecycle compute, network, and storage infrastructure in Herndon, VA. You will collaborate with Linux Administrators, DevOps & Infrastructure Engineers, and Systems Engineers to support GPUs and HPC platforms.

The role requires active TS/SCI with CI polygraph, a related degree or equivalent experience, and hands-on experience in Linux-heavy environments, DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field; relevant professional experience can substitute for degree.
• 3+ years of Linux system administration or systems engineering in a Linux-heavy environment.
• Experience supporting DevOps infrastructure and build/operations of LAN/WAN networks.
• Experience implementing DoD cybersecurity requirements.
• Experience with physical compute and networking hardware.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and sustain Linux operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
• Assist in design and provisioning of the enterprise network environment.
• Prepare and deliver program and user-level documentation for system operations.
• Provide technical systems support for project activities.
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Interact with technical team leads.
• Understand current system and components; recommend changes for efficient development.
• Communicate and share expertise within and across client boundaries.
• Work independently and in small groups.
