Job summary

Vantor Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer in Herndon, VA, requiring an active TS/SCI clearance. You will design and maintain scalable DevOps pipelines, integrate security workflows, and collaborate across software, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to support an HPC system for a government customer.

You will work with Kubernetes, Docker, IaC tools, and CI/CD platforms to automate deployments, monitor performance, and ensure compliance across networks and environments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance required; willing to pass polygraph.
• SCIF work environment in Herndon, VA with 40h/week.
• 5+ years of DevOps experience; Bachelors in CS/IS or related field (Masters with 3+ years acceptable).
• Strong programming skills in Python, Go, Java, or C#.
• Cloud environments deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker in Cloud Native apps.
• CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage highly available applications for reliability and scalability.
• Write clean code to automate cybersecurity workflows (Python/Go/Java).
• Build and maintain CLI tools, APIs, and dashboards for developer experience.
• Implement and maintain Nomad and Kubernetes clusters for workloads.
• Develop IaC solutions with Terraform or Ansible.
• Build and manage multiple CI/CD pipelines with GitLab or equivalent.
• Monitor systems, logs, and troubleshoot issues proactively.
• Automate security testing within DevOps using Trivy/ACAS.
