Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) in Honolulu, HI is seeking a Help Desk Technician for a temporary mid-shift role (10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.).

The technician serves as the frontline support for the HQ executive community, handling hardware, software and networking issues while facilitating secure communications during travel and events. This six-month assignment may transition to permanent based on contract needs.

Qualifications

• Experience in service/help desk or support roles (2+ years).
• Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical staff.
• Knowledge of IT concepts, hardware, software and networks.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact at the service desk for hardware, software and networking issues.
• Coordinate secure and non-secure communications and assist with IT installations.
• Prepare Monthly Status Reports (MSR) for COR-appointed TA detailing progress and issues.
• Support Local Registration Authority duties per DoD and customer standards.
• Ensure seamless operation and security of HQ communications during events and travel.
