Job summary

Akima Systems Engineering (ASE) is seeking a Help Desk Technician for a temporary mid-shift role in Honolulu, HI. The position provides Tier 1 IT support to HQ executive staff and supports travel and events.

The role requires TS clearance eligibility, a high school diploma, CompTIA Security+ certification, and strong Microsoft Office skills, plus AD basics and network troubleshooting. The assignment is six months with potential to go permanent.

Qualifications

• Requires TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• 2+ years of help desk experience with hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic level skills in system administration and active directory.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the initial contact at the help desk handling hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Provide Tier 1 troubleshooting for HQ executive users, including travel and events.
• Support secure and non-secure communications and supervise IT system installations.
• Manage incident management, service requests, problem management, access management, and event management per ITIL.
• Support Local Registration Authority duties per DoD and customer standards.
• Prepare Monthly Status Reports detailing accomplishments and issues for COR/TA.
