Job summary

Russell Tobin in Seattle is seeking a Trust & Safety Analyst for a 1-month contract (Oct 5, 2026 – Nov 16, 2026). Hybrid schedule: Tue, Wed, Thu onsite for 3 days.

You will drive strategic data analyses and actionable insights to guide abuse prevention and harm mitigation initiatives. Collaborating with global teams, you will craft metrics, identify trends, and support cross-functional decisions while balancing multiple stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing ethics and socio-technical impacts of AI.
  • Ability to assess harms from technology for users/communities.
  • Knowledge of key internet policy issues including IP, online safety, free expression.
  • Ability to lead threat or rights assessments and stakeholder alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and documentation.
  • Oversee execution of data-oriented analysis to architect metrics, synthesize information, solve problems, and influence decisions.
  • Collaborate with global analysts to align objectives and strategies across teams.
  • Drive abuse and harm-fighting projects of moderate to high complexity.
  • Provide feedback analysis and process optimization to reduce latency and drive excellence.

Job description

Location: Seattle WA (Hybrid – Tue, Wed, Thur Onsite for 3 days)

Duration: 1 month contract (10/05/2026 to 11/16/2026)

Pay Rate: $60 to $70/hr. on W2

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ethics and socio-technical considerations of technology and the future of AI.
  • Proven ability or thought leadership in assessing impacts and adverse effects of technology on users or communities.
  • Knowledge about the key policy issues affecting the internet (e.g., intellectual property, free expression, online safety, ethics and socio-technical considerations of technology and the future of AI).
  • Ability or thought leadership in threat or human rights' assessment (i.e., verifying that technology does not produce adverse effects on users).

Description:

As a Trust & Safety Analyst, you drive impact that changes the way T&S operates. You focus on primarily strategic components of projects, delivering detailed data analyses (including insights and recommendations) that drive decisions, with limited guidance. You drive well-defined projects, with moderate levels of uncertainty, to resolve abuse - and harm-fighting and mitigation problems of medium complexity. As you partner cross-functionally with others globally, balancing your own perspectives with those of diverse stakeholders to drive impact, you act as a reliable, credible point of contact for information and subject matter knowledge, and develop expertise within a Global Affairs domain.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation. Propose next steps and roadblock solutions and anticipate questions and challenges.
  • Oversee execution of data-oriented analysis to architect metrics, synthesize information, solve problems, and influence business decision-making by presenting insights and market trends, with minimal guidance to the project team.
  • Work with a team of business analysts responsible for implementing various internal and external integrations between business objectives, as well as designing and building strategies that support these business systems.

  • Help stakeholders to improve business processes by performing effective escalation management, providing "quick fix" solutions, and pushing projects forward, and driving recommendations through to implementation.
