Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Member of Technical Staff to build and operate automation that keeps third-party and open-source dependencies patched and shipped on time.

You will own feature-level work on pipelines that discover vulnerable packages, decide upgrades, and open fix PRs across many repositories. This role targets engineers strong in pipeline and automation, ready to grow into software supply chain security.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years in software engineering with Python and Java
• Reading fluency in two of Node.js, Go, or Ruby
• Hands-on data pipelines experience (batch or streaming) with idempotent steps and retries
• Direct experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with test coverage
• Experience with repository-wide automation and multi-repo changes
• Familiarity with a workflow orchestrator (Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, Temporal) and a lakehouse/columnar query engine (Trino, Presto, Spark, Snowflake, BigQuery, Athena, Databricks, Iceberg)
• Proficient SQL beyond basic joins and window functions
• End-to-end ownership of features including design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance
• BS in CS, Eng or equivalent experience

Aufgaben

• Contribute to data pipelines ingesting vulnerability data, SBOM artifacts, and deployment metadata
• Build and maintain batch and streaming jobs with idempotent steps and reliable retries
• On-call ownership of pipelines to debug production issues and reduce toil
• Develop scripts and small services interacting with many repositories to manage PRs and CI feedback
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated test coverage
• Ensure attribution is resolved at the source rather than masking symptoms
• Collaborate with service owners to upgrade dependencies and triage breakage
• Translate scanner output into prioritized actionable work and document designs and runbooks
• Write Python and Java code following project conventions and add regression tests
