Job summary

Salesforce is seeking an experienced software engineer to contribute to end-to-end security data pipelines, owning system architecture for endpoint protection and driving reliability improvements. The role emphasizes API design, cross-team collaboration, and mentorship across multiple time zones.

You will work on scalable systems, implement SDRs/ADRs, and leverage AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery while upholding engineering standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of core software development experience with mastery in multiple programming languages and platforms.
• Strong foundation in database engineering, API development, and data pipeline construction, including experience with event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
• Proven ability to craft and deliver large, sophisticated projects across the full software lifecycle, including releases for public consumption.
• Experience with infrastructure hardening and operational reliability (alerting, availability monitoring, MTTR reduction).
• Ability to design systems at scale, architecture reviews, and cross-team alignment; collaborate with engineers, architects, and leadership.
• Develops performance architecture for complex challenges and long-term design strategies across projects.
• Strong engineering process discipline: PR reviews, design reviews, sprint execution, and documentation; Agile/Scrum.
• Mentor teammates and foster cross-functional collaboration on critical issues.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end software development across security data pipelines from ingestion to canonical data stores and downstream consumers.
• Lead system architecture for endpoint protection platforms, including SDRs and ADRs.
• Improve platform reliability with monitoring, alerting, and hardening strategies.
• Design and build APIs and services including REST APIs, policy engines, registries, and projection/aggregation services.
• Set engineering standards for code quality, design consistency, and documentation.
• Mentor engineers through PR reviews, sprint planning, and technical deep dives.
• Collaborate with security architects and partner teams to ensure clean integrations.
• Support on-call operations on a rotating schedule across time zones.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate delivery and support multi-language development.
