Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in Kent, WA is seeking a Truck & Trailer Mechanic with DOT inspection certification and 2-5+ years of experience to service and repair tank trailers at our Kent location. You will diagnose failures and repair mechanical and electrical systems on tank trailers, with emphasis on tank service, suspension, and air brake work.

TIG welding is optional. We offer a stable shift, competitive pay from $22.00 to $42.00 per hour, and a robust benefits package including

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical or electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Perform tank service and trailer repairs.
• Install and repair trailer suspension.
• Repair air brake systems and components.
• Welding of aluminum, stainless or carbon (TIG) is optional.
• Ensure DOT compliance through inspection.

We are currently searching for DOT inspection certified mechanic with 2-5+ years of experience. This is for our Kent, WA location!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM or 7am-3:30pm

Pay Range: $22.00 to $42.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards
• HM183 certified preferred

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
