Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) in Louisville, KY is seeking a DOT HM-183 certified Tank Trailer Mechanic to diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and other systems on tank trailers. This role requires tank service and repair experience, familiarity with air brake systems, trailer suspension work, and welding skills (TIG welding bonus).

Shift is Monday–Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM at the Louisville branch, 3808 Bells Lane.

Qualifications

• DOT HM-183 certification and tank trailer repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose failures and perform mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Experience with air brake systems and trailer suspension.
• Welding experience (TIG) is a plus.
• Ability to inspect tanks and trailers for DOT HM-183 compliance.

Tank Trailer Mechanic

We are currently searching for DOT HM-183 certified mechanics with tank trailer repair experience!

Shift Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

This position is for our Louisville branch at 3808 Bells Lane, Louisville, KY 40211.

Pay Range: $19.00 to $39.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM-183, hazmat)

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
