Job summary

TravelCenters of America (TA) is seeking a Truck Service Advisor to write and process work orders and OTC transactions, secure purchase orders, and coordinate quotes for customers. You will source parts from vendors, manage deliveries, and generate end-of-shift reports while upholding safety and service standards.

The role emphasizes professional presentation, strong communication, and flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous cashier and customer service experience; repair or parts shop preferred.
• Presents self in a professional manner to customers, management, and coworkers.
• Strong suggestive selling skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Write, detail, and process Work Orders and OTC transactions; properly write up an ETA Work Order; secure purchase orders, prepare and communicate quotes to customer.
• Source parts from outside vendors and coordinate delivery.
• Prepare end of shift drop and shift report; understand various payment types.
• Ensure the cleanliness of service counters, showroom, and customer restrooms.
• Maintain the safety of both our customers and team members.
