Job summary

Bruceton Petroleum Co., Inc. is hiring a Truck Driver in Morgantown, WV to deliver fuel oil, gasoline and LP to customers safely and efficiently. The role requires a CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and climb up to 15 ft.

You will perform vehicle inspections, operate pumps, and keep accurate delivery records. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will complete shipping papers and duty reports while complying with DOT regulations and maintaining

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Commercial driver's license with hazardous material and tanker endorsement.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to climb up to 15 ft.

Responsibilities

• Delivers fuel oil, gasoline, LP to customers safely and efficiently.
• Performs pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tanks.
• Reads gauges/meters and records quantities loaded.
• Records delivered amounts and issues tickets to customers.
• Maintains bulk plant and performs light truck maintenance.
• Completes required paperwork such as shipping papers and duty logs.
• Adheres to DOT regulations for CMVs and hazardous materials; responds to emergencies.

Reporting Relationship: Reports to - Director of Operations

Basic Function

A driver is primarily responsible for delivering fuel oil, gasoline, LP etc. in a safe and efficient manner to various locations as assigned by his/her manager.

Essential Functions

• Drives tank truck to deliver gasoline, fuel oil, or liquefied petroleum gas to customers: Drives truck into position to load at filling rack.
• Perform pre and post trip visual inspections of vehicle to determine road worthiness;
• Opens valves or starts pumps to fill tank.
• Reads gauges or meters and records quantity loaded.
• Records amount delivered and issues ticket to customer.
• Perform daily maintenance of bulk plant; light maintenance on trucks (washing, etc.)
• Complete required paperwork such as shipping papers, hours of duty reports, etc.
• Have working knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations regarding operating a commercial motor vehicle, transporting hazardous material and how to respond to an emergency;
