Job summary

Johnson Controls in Texas seeks a seasoned Service Manager to lead a truck-based service operation. You will drive labor and material revenue growth, manage margins, and oversee service asset performance while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

You will mentor teams, forecast workloads, and coordinate with internal partners to deliver reliable service. A strong HVAC background and 10+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• College degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the HVAC field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with tact and good judgment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; adaptable to changing priorities.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the truck-based service business to grow labor and material revenue, gross margin, and service asset performance.
• Set, track, and achieve goals for team growth, productivity, quality, and profitability.
• Lead the Service Team to ensure consistent service delivery and strong customer experience.
• Support warranty-related issue closure and drive effective issue resolution with customers.
• Maintain customer relationships and identify opportunities for additional work, including change orders.
• Plan labor needs, recruit, hire, develop, and retain team members; monitor performance.
