Johnson Controls is seeking an HVAC Truck Based Service Manager to lead a field service team across the assigned territory. You will oversee service assets, drive labor and material growth, and ensure customer satisfaction with disciplined planning and execution.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to collaborate with Sales and field leaders to meet revenue and margin goals while developing staff and delivering reliable service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business, or equivalent work experience.
• Eight to ten or more years of progressively more responsible operations management experience in the service industry.
• Five or more years of direct management experience.
• Experience in HVAC, building controls, or a similar service delivery environment.
• High-level competence in written and verbal communication.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to speak to large audiences.
• Ability to lead and direct diverse teams.
• Basic financial and accounting knowledge.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and a Windows-based environment.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of the truck-based service business and maintain consistent delivery systems across the territory.
• Manage branch service business plans, financial plans, revenue forecasts, and gross margin performance.
• Drive profitable growth through effective management of people, financial resources, and material assets.
• Develop strategic operating plans that align with service sales and account goals.
• Build and retain customer relationships through networking in the local business, governmental, and professional community.
• Review proposals, estimates, and account assignments with Sales to support accurate and effective service execution.
• Audit service operations, support contractual obligations, and take action to improve customer satisfaction and performance.
• Recruit, hire, coach, and retain service staff while supporting performance reviews and development plans.
