Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and energy solutions, seeks a detail-oriented Dispatch Scheduler to manage service calls and technician assignments in Hauppauge, NY. You will coordinate labor, communicate plans to customers, and ensure timely execution of preventative maintenance.

Under supervision, you will debrief technicians, escalate issues, and maintain accurate customer data in NxGen, attending weekly planning meetings and supporting parts orders and time/expense

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent, plus 2–5 years of service industry experience.
• Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks with tact.
• Experience with dispatch or service scheduling.
• Knowledge of basic project accounting or costing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive and schedule customer calls for service.
• Manage schedule of technicians and mechanics.
• Coordinate labor scheduling to align technician to needs.
• Communicate action plan and services to customers.
• Ensure work meets customer expectations and follow up.
• Answer inquiries and escalate issues.
• Maintain up-to-date customer account information in NxGen.
• Attend weekly planning/scheduling meetings.
• Parts ordering/PO creation support.
• WIP management.
• Start-up support.
• Reconcile time and expenses.
• Other duties as assigned.
