Job summary

The growing Consulting practice at Baker Tilly is a collaborative group focused on delivering superior client service to Tribal government clients. The Manager role provides accounting services, grants management, and policy development to support client objectives and compliance.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting or related field and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience, not for profit and/or governmental experience.
• Experience with grants management, financial accounting, governmental accounting standards, and/or accounts payable processing.
• Strong verbal and written communication, and client service orientation.
• Ability to work across functions and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly closing and grants management.
• Prepares polished deliverables for clients and ensures timely delivery.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborates with clients to understand and improve current processes and policies.
• Participates in project start-up activities and audit coordination.
• Assists with growing the practice and reviews team work for accuracy.
