Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in government or non-profit sectors.
• Experience in grants management and financial reporting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and client service orientation.
• Ability to analyze problems, think critically, and develop creative solutions.
• Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel about 10–15%.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and government accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational, accounting, and consulting services for Tribal governments, including monthly closing and grants management.
• Prepares polished deliverables for clients and ensures timeliness.
• Develops policies and procedures on key accounting matters.
• Collaborates with clients to understand practices and define new processes.
• Performs project start-up activities and attends kickoff meetings.
• Coordinates with clients during audits and helps prepare for audits.
• Assists in growing the practice and reviews team work for accuracy.
• Acts as an integral member of the Business Consulting Services team.
• Occasionally travels to client locations, firm trainings, or conferences.
