Job summary

Fairview Health Services has an opening for an RN Triage Nurse. This 1.0 FTE position works day shifts with a schedule on Mondays and Fridays, and involves training Family Medicine Residents through the St. John's Family Medicine Residency Program.

The RN will make nursing decisions, assess patients, and coordinate care with the healthcare team, applying best practices and protocols in uncertain conditions.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• 5 years of clinical RN experience with strong assessment skills.
• Patient education and proactive disease management experience.
• MN Registered Nurse license and BLS certification on hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for health, safety, or educational needs.
• Implement nursing interventions per care plan.
• Use effective communication to achieve outcomes.
• Evaluate patient response to interventions and outcomes.
• Coordinate care via interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Support Family Medicine Residents through residency program.
• Manage and coordinate OB patient care for residency program.
• Coordinate medical care for underserved populations.
