Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an Associate Designer for a contract position in San Diego, with a hybrid work setup. You will monitor trends, lead resets, and translate ideas into technical specifications, materials, design layouts, and BOM updates to support multiple product lines.

The role requires a background in product or apparel design, 3+ years of experience, strong skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma or similar, and the ability to sketch rapidly, iterate concepts, and collaborate across design,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Produce design or related discipline with 1 year in product/apparel design.
3+ years of experience in product design and development.
Intermediate level in design and development processes.

Responsibilities

Monitor, research, and report on industry trends for new/existing product designs.
Lead with resets and manage timelines across trend, mid design, merch design, and tech pack handoffs.
Rapid ideation sketching for new and existing products.
Develop, update, and create technical specs, materials, and BOMs for products.
Prepare materials for meetings and coordinate logistics.
