Job summary

Skill seeks an Associate Designer to support a fast-paced consumer product design team in San Diego, spanning soft goods, sewn, plush, hard goods, and molded products. You will blend hands-on product design with development and design administration, from trend research to final handoff.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years' design experience, a strong portfolio, and is organized and collaborative. This is a hybrid role: three days onsite and two days remote per week, with typical hours 8:00

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of product design and/or product development experience.
• Strong ability to communicate product concepts visually through hand sketching and digital drawing.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Portfolio or website demonstrating relevant product design work is required.

Responsibilities

• Research industry and design trends and translate insights into new concepts.
• Develop product concepts through rapid ideation, hand sketching, and digital sketching/rendering.
• Create and refine product illustrations and design concepts using Adobe tools.
• Support development of consumer products across soft goods, plush, hard goods, and molded items.
• Document prototype feedback, sample changes, design revisions, and next steps.
