Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking an Outside Sales Rep – Trench Safety in the Long Beach area.

You will be the go-to person for underground trench safety equipment rental and supplies, building relationships with contract companies and building contractors to grow revenue and provide exceptional service. In this role, you’ll maximize revenue in your territory, demonstrate products, train customers on trench safety equipment, and leverage Salesforce.com to develop a robust sales pipeline.

Qualifications

• Three years of sales experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of experience and education preferred.
• Strong planning, problem-solving, organizational and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maximize revenue from facilities and construction sites in a defined geographical territory.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers, acting as single point of contact.
• Demonstrate and train customers on trench safety products.
• Call potential customers to set up demonstrations and on-site visits.
• Prepare sales action plans and strategies.
• Collaborate to promote cross-selling and training programs.
