Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Florida seeks a Foreperson to coordinate crews and equipment for planned vegetation management projects. You will direct daily tasks, ensure safety, and maintain records of time and materials while communicating with property owners about access and scope of work.

The role requires strong leadership, adherence to standards, and the ability to travel for storm-restoration work as needed. A high school diploma is preferred and a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet and demonstrate qualifications of all positions on a crew.
• Must be able to follow verbal or written directives.
• Must be able to delegate work and take accountability for the performance of a crew.
• Must be able to understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Must have and maintain a Driver’s License and be able to safely drive a company vehicle.
• Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Direct crew members and manage equipment each day.
• Assign specific tasks to crew members and supervise performance.
• Plan and execute the assigned work and tasks in a safe and professional manner.
• Organize job assignments for efficient completion.
• Notify property owners and obtain access for tree trimming/removal and herbicide application.
• Ensure PPE is worn and safety practices followed on site.
• Direct cleanup and secure equipment and supplies on the truck.
• Keep accurate records of time, equipment, and materials used.
• Complete daily truck inspections and conduct job briefings as required by law.
