Job summary

Xylem Tree Experts in Danville, VA is seeking a Foreperson to coordinate crews, equipment, and supplies to complete contracts according to specifications. You will lead daily tasks, ensure safety, manage access with property owners, and supervise on-site operations.

The role requires ability to read drawings, schedule work, and travel for storm restoration as needed. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with experience in vegetation management or related fields highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must be able to meet and demonstrate qualifications of all positions on a crew.
• Must be able to follow verbal or written directives.
• Must be able to delegate work and take accountability for the performance of a crew.
• Must be able to understand drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Must be able to travel out of town for storm restoration work.

Responsibilities

• Direct crew members and manage equipment each day.
• Plan and execute assigned work in a safe and professional manner.
• Organize job assignments for efficient completion.
• Notify property owners and obtain access for work.
• Ensure PPE usage and safe practices on site.
• Direct cleanup and secure equipment and supplies on the truck.
• Inspect completed work and report to customer.
