Job summary

Asplundh Careers is seeking a Trimmer Trainee for a full-time, non-exempt role in Indiana. The position involves trimming trees, operating hand and power tools, and assisting with debris processing in outdoor settings.

Ideal candidates are 18+ years old, physically capable of overhead work, climbing, and operating equipment in varied weather. Training will be provided; safety and teamwork are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders at various heights.
• No fear of heights.
• Must have good hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operates and services required tools and equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent regrowth.
• Loads/unloads trucks and feeds brush into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor job-related damage to lawns and walkways.
