Job summary

Asplundh Careers seeks a Trimmer Trainee to join our field operations in Wisconsin. This full-time, non-exempt role offers hourly pay and contributes to vegetation management projects. You will trim and remove trees and brush, operate equipment, and support crew safety in a dynamic outdoor setting.

The ideal candidate is at least 18, ready to work in varying weather, and eager to learn. No prior experience required, but a valid driver’s license is preferred and pre-employment screening may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, or at various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment or material.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Feeds brush into a woodchipper.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Safeguards employees and the public from hazards in and around the work area.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Entry-level position, no experience required

Previous experience is a plus
