Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer Trainee to trim and remove trees and operate heavy equipment. The role involves handling debris, setting up safety barriers, and assisting in training new employees.

The position requires agility, good hand-eye coordination, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. The Trimmer Trainee is a full-time, non-exempt role with an emphasis on safety, teamwork, and adhering to industry standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders or at heights on uneven/slippery surfaces.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cuts and splits large debris into manageable pieces.
• Sprays areas with equipment to prevent further growth.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush and debris into a woodchipper.
• Repairs minor damage to lawns, fences and walkways.
• Maintains and services tools and equipment.
• Relays hand signals, directs traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment.
• Keeps trucks and work areas clean and orderly.
