Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC seeks a Trimmer/Climber to clear lines and maintain safe clearance around powerlines. This full-time, non-exempt role requires DL and involves climbing, pruning, operating trucks and woodchippers, and teamwork in various weather conditions.

Candidates should be at least 18, able to lift, climb, and work from ladders, and willing to join local union. Training and safety are emphasized, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Must be willing to join local union and pay union dues.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Loads/unloads trucks.
• Feeds brush & debris into woodchipper.
• Safeguards employees and public from hazards in the work area.
• Assists training new employees.
