Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber (DL Required) to trim, tops, and reshape trees to maintain clearance for utility powerlines. This full-time, non-exempt position involves hands-on work, equipment operation, and adherence to safety protocols on job sites in the Akron area.

Responsibilities include trimming, debris handling, tool maintenance, and assisting with training new employees. Valid driver's license and willingness to join the local union are required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• No fear of heights.
• Excellent hand-to-eye coordination.
• Able to walk, climb, and work from ladders, various heights, on uneven and slippery surfaces while handling equipment or material.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees, branches, trunk sections.
• Operate and service all required tools/equipment.
• Cleans debris and ensures safe work area.
• Relays hand-signals, directs traffic, drives, and operates trucks and equipment as needed.
• Maintains good housekeeping on truck and at work locations.
