Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is hiring for entry-level and skilled Tree Trimmers and Climbers. This full-time, non-exempt role offers on-the-job training and outdoor work in the Hillsville area.

You will trim and remove trees, operate pruning equipment, and coordinate with customers while following safety protocols. Ideal candidates have high school education, no prior experience required, and are willing to work long hours including emergencies.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work with hands above head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to climb and work from ladders at various heights.
• Ability to identify tree and shrub species.
• No fear of heights.
• Good hand-to-eye coordination.
• Willing and able to work long hours and overtime during emergencies, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Trims and/or removes trees by climbing with ladders or using ground-based equipment.
• Operates and maintains trimming tools and equipment.
• Plans and coordinates work with the crew and supervisors.
• Assists in training new employees.
• Ensures safety and communicates with customers and the public.
